4H - Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park

I help teach Forest Ecology to a group of 4H’ers over in Citrus County on Sunday afternoons in March and April. Of course, I’m no expert, I just have spent a great deal of time bushwacking through the woods. In middle school and high school I was a member of the FFA Forestry team. I did pretty good, and helping these kids out reminds me of those days.

We had the good fortune of getting our 4H group into the park for free! We called a couple of days ahead and they told us that since we are an educational group, we can come on over.

Snow in Florida

Snow in Florida

It snowed this morning! Snow, sleet - whatever. We don’t get much of either, so anything that collects and is icy white gets called snow. We’ve had a week or so of really strange weather! Video taken in Inverness, Florida with a Canon Powershot SD780 IS.

Rain at Iron Bridge

Just a little video of a rainy day at the Iron Bridge area in the Withlacoochee State Forest. I just sat there (rain jacket on, of course) and watched it rain for about an hour. Good stuff.
